"At first I thought they were fighting over a doll, but when I heard crying, I realized it was a baby girl," he said. "Another dog named Nom Sod rushed in and tried to save the baby by picking her up in its mouth and carrying her about 10 meters away from the fighting dogs and laying her down. It acted like a hero," he added.
Mr. Noi then called for rescue workers. The newborn baby girl, weighing only 2 kilograms, was found safe but with a few bite marks. Security camera footage showed a woman, believed to be the baby's mother, near the area where the baby was abandoned.
